Residencies
Since the inception of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Artist Fellowship Program, one of our key aspirations has been to partner with internationally acclaimed artist residency programs in order to encourage Greek artists to travel and work outside Greece. Through their participation in residency programs, the selected Fellows get the opportunity to work in different settings and circumstances that can be inspiring and rewarding, providing them with the necessary means and time to pursue research and experimentation. Moreover, they get the opportunity to expand their network of contacts and engage with arts professionals from all over the world.
To date, our constantly growing network of partners consists of our collaboration with the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), Delfina Foundation, SAHA Association, K3 – Zentrum für Choreographie, as well as our recently announced collaboration with LUMA Arles.

The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) supports the creative development of artists and curators, and promotes exchange through residencies and public programs. Housed in a former factory in Brooklyn, with 35 light-filled work studios and two galleries, ISCP is New York’s most comprehensive international visual arts residency program, founded in 1994. ISCP organizes exhibitions, events and offsite projects, which are free and open to all, sustaining a vibrant community of contemporary art practitioners and diverse audiences. Over 1,800 artists and curators from more than 90 countries, including the United States have undertaken residencies at ISCP.
Delfina Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation based in the heart of London, dedicated to facilitating artistic exchange and developing creative practice through residencies, partnerships and public programming. It is one of the most important institutions hosting residency programs for art professionals through collaborations with other institutions across the globe. The Delfina Foundation seeks to give visual artists, curators and writers the opportunity to develop their work by providing them with the time and space required to pursue research on specific thematic areas.
SAHA Association was founded to support artists, curators, and writers working in visual arts from Turkey in improving their production and development environments, and to enhance their interactions with international art institutions and networks. Within the scope of its curatorial program, SAHA aims to promote the development of research projects about the Turkish contemporary art scene. Through institutional collaborations or direct invitations, SAHA provides international curators, artists and researchers with accommodation at its premises, working space and tailor-made programs to assist their research and networking in Turkey.
K3 – Zentrum für Choreographie | Tanzplan Hamburg at Kampnagel is a competence centre for expertise in the field of contemporary dance and choreography, artistic research, and dance outreach. Since its foundation, K3 has been playing an essential role as a place for artistic exchange and networking in developing a dynamic and networked dance scene in Hamburg while promoting its national and international networks. A major focus of work at K3 is developing and offering various forms of residencies and artistic formats of working that combine artistic research, production, and presentation. Promoting and supporting choreographers and dance professionals in the early stages of their career is a main priority.
Established in 2016, Luma Arles Artist Residency Program invites, all year long, artists, thinkers, researchers, writers, curators and other practitioners to conduct research and carry out projects related to their artistic fields. This program is taking shape in a thousand-year-old, average-size city with a strong identity whose territory is marked by both a unique natural and historical heritage and a remarkable concentration of cultural activities. Fully integrated into the Parc des Ateliers program, it is enriched by the diverse fields of research in which it operates, such as contemporary production, the environment, hospitality and education.
