Iris Touliatou, visual artist and SNF ARTWORKS Fellow 2020, was selected by the curatorial team of the International Studio Curatorial Program (ISCP) for a 2-month residency. During her residency at ISCP, Iris continued her research about the American scholar, cultural theorist, and author, Lauren Berlant, who wrote and taught issues of intimacy and belonging, in view of her future solo exhibition which will open in June 2020.
During her stay in New York, Iris also participated in the 2021 Triennial “Soft Water Hard Stone” at the New Museum.
Her residency was supported by ARTWORKS through its founding donor the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), and as part of its ongoing collaboration with ISCP with the aim of sponsoring every year one residency position in New York for its alumni Fellows.
Special thanks to Aegean Airlines for the air transport sponsorship.
