Irini Kalaitzidi (SNF ARTWORKS Dance Fellow 2020 ), dance and computational artist will travel to Hamburg to participate in the residency program at K3 – Zentrum für Choreographie (August 2023), where she will get the chance to further develop her research and practice.
During her residency, Irini will be collecting data for training an AI model on identifying and poetically labelling human dance actions, with labels like ‘feeding birds’. The data will be short dance phrases and the collection process will involve recording these phrases repetitively with various methods, computational or not.
