ARTWORKS engages with contemporary artistic practices, with an interest in how art interacts with and contributes to the public sphere. Through a growing series of events, we invite different generations of arts professionals into dialogue with diverse audiences, across social and cultural contexts. These encounters foreground experimentation, process, and exchange: Grantees are encouraged to share works in progress, test ideas, and open up their practice through conversation with peers and the public.

In recent years, ARTWORKS has carried out a series of public activities in collaboration with institutions such as the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), the Municipality of Athens, the Greek Film Archive, the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), and the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA). These collaborations have included exhibitions, screenings, performances, and discussions that offer space for emerging practitioners and explore different ways in which art is presented and shared with the public.

In its new collaboration with ISET – the Contemporary Greek Art Institute – ARTWORKS expands its presence into a space dedicated to the documentation, research, and reflection on contemporary Greek art. Now hosted at the Institute, which forms part of the National Gallery, the space becomes the ground for ARTWORKS’ next phase of public programming. Through exhibitions, talks, and discursive formats, the program will build connections between artistic inquiry and historical awareness, activating ISET as a space for artistic exchange and knowledge production.
