Fotis Sagonas (born in 1983, Thermo, Central Greece) is a visual artist and architect. He lives and works in Thessaloniki and in Athens. His work includes drawings, prints and installations. His visual art research and practice is interdisciplinary and involves representation systems, virtual environments, data visualization and digital fabrication techniques. Through his works he attempts to create narratives, where the relationship of the observer with the depicted subject is being destabilized. Since 2018 he has been teaching visual arts and computer design at the department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Ioannina. In 2012 he received a Fulbright Scholarship for Visual Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He has had four solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group shows in Greece and abroad.
