Where time becomes a loop explores the ever-evolving landscape of Athens city centre, the ways artists engage with public spaces, and the interplay between private and public identities and environments. At the same time, it develops a subjective, intimate cartography of our fractured present, both in Athens and internationally, through artists’ reflections on the conditions they experience. where time becomes a loop focuses on artistic practices in the field of the moving image, a medium that has been underrepresented in the Greek art scene in recent years, and its relationship to cinema. It began in late 2024 with Silent Night, a series of screenings that took place in public space. In the coming months, it will continue with screenings at cinemas in the centre of Athens and an exhibition in a historic abandoned cinema. It is developed in collaboration with the artist-run space 3137.

Where time becomes a loop, in addition to ARTWORKS’ financial support, is realised with the financial support and under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, as well as with support from NEON Organisation for Culture and Development.
