Vasilis Papageorgiou, visual artist and SNF ARTWORKS Fellow 2018, will inaugurate the ARTWORKS x LUMA partnership with a 3-month position. During his residency at LUMA Arles, Papageorgiou will conduct research on the sculptural elements that are structuring the public space of the region, as well as the everyday rituals that these elements delineate. Meanwhile he will examine light as a component of public space as well as its representation in painting which has been inextricably linked with the South of France.
