Curatorial Residency Program in Corsica: November 2025

Alexander Strecker (Canada / Greece) is a writer and curator. He holds a PhD in Art, Art History, and Visual Studies from Duke University. He is the editor of four volumes—Bread for the Living, Bread for the Dead (Tavros Editions, 2025), Depression Era: A Collective Lens in the Age of Crisis (K8, 2025), While We’re Together (Onassis Foundation, 2021), and Forever More Images (Onassis Foundation, 2019). He has curated photography exhibitions around the world, including at Les Rencontres d’Arles and The Photographers’ Gallery in London. Other collaborators have included the Barbican Centre, Somerset House, Athens Photo Festival, Zoetrope, VOID, MISC, Paris Photo, Depression Era, Art Basel, and Yo-Yo Ma’s Bach Project. He is a founding member of Duke’s Laboratory for Social Choreography, which in 2025 organized Parliament,a “social choreographic site,” at the Benaki Museum in Athens.
