ActionAid Youth Center
4 Katholikon Street, Thessaloniki
The final presentation of the artistic residency “Edible Commons: Performing the Future of Food” will take place in Thessaloniki as part of the European programme “Feed Your Future”, implemented by ActionAid in collaboration with the Mediterranea Young Artists Biennale.
The residency is curated by Nikolas Vamvouklis.
Over the past two weeks, artists Eunjin Yoo, Clémentine Blaison VanDenHende, and Kaiwen Wu have engaged with the city, its communities, and local initiatives, developing new works that explore sustainability, collectivity, and the future of food.
Bringing together creativity and climate action, the artists transform urban space through projects that address sustainable food systems, recycling, and the reduction of food waste. Their works invite audiences to imagine alternative ways of producing, sharing, and consuming food while fostering more resilient and inclusive communities.
The “Feed Your Future” programme is implemented in Thessaloniki, Milan, Almere, Barcelona, Brașov, Lisbon, and Paphos, and is co-funded by the European Union and the BIC Foundation.
